Landscape and Mountain Activities Photography Contest in the Gaitanes Gorge Natural Area
El Landscape and Mountain Activities Photography Contest It will take place in the majestic Gaitanes Gorge Natural Area in Malaga. This event is jointly organized by the 12h Climbing Rally El Chorro and the Álora Town Hall.
Organisation
The competition is run by the team of the 12h El Chorro Climbing Rally, who will appoint a jury of three people to select the best photographs.
Participation
It is open to professional and amateur photographers from all over the world. The photographs must capture any aspect of the Gaitanes Gorge Natural Area.
Contest Themes
The photographs should focus on the Gaitanes Gorge Natural Area, including sustainable sporting activities such as climbing, hiking, running, and mountain biking. The originality and visual impact of the images will be evaluated.
Awards
- Top: 500€
- Second Place: 300€
- Third place: 200€
- Best Local Photographer (Álora): €150 in a voucher to spend in local businesses.
Photo Exhibition
The winning photos and others selected by the jury will be displayed during the awards ceremony.
Image rights
Participants retain their image rights. Award winners will grant non-exclusive rights for the promotion of the event.
Digital Image Processing
Moderate editing of photos is allowed, but not digital manipulation that adds elements not present in the original shot.
Registration and Submission of Works
- Free registration: Open to anyone, except members of the organization, immediate family members and sponsors.
- Participation guidelines: Up to three photos in JPEG format, maximum size of 1920px per longer side and maximum weight of 2 MB per file.
- Registration deadline: From June 15 to September 1, 2024.
Competition Deadlines
- Presentation of works: From June 15 to September 1, 2024.
- Awards ceremony: September 29, 2024 at 13:00h in the Llano de la Iglesia of El Chorro.
The judge
It will consist of two renowned photographers and a member of the 12h El Chorro Climbing Rally.
Jury Verdict
The jury's decision will be announced on September 29, 2024, during the awards ceremony. The presence of the winners or their representatives is mandatory to receive the award.
