    CODE OF CONDUCT FOR RESPONSIBLE TOURISM 

    Aligning with the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism developed by the UNWTO, tourism companies and services in the Destination Caminito del Rey, aware of the fundamental role they play in the economic, social and environmental development of the territory, undertake to:

    1. Respect and promote the Sustainable Development Goals, especially the specific rights of the most vulnerable population groups. Tourism companies and services are committed to promoting tolerance, gender equality and respectful inclusion of all people, improving the accessibility of their facilities and services and enhancing the identity and culture of the territory.

    2. Protect the destination's environment and natural resources in such a way that current needs are met without compromising the aspirations of future generations. Tourism activities and related infrastructure should be designed under the premises of protecting natural heritage, preserving resources and controlling pollution.

    3. Prioritise the hiring of local staff and suppliers on equal terms.

    4. Incorporate the values ​​and standards of this Code into the management of your establishment or service, informing the Destination Manager Caminito del Rey of the measures taken to implement the principles of this code of responsible tourism.

    6. Provide visitors with objective and truthful information about destinations and travel conditions, cooperating with public authorities to ensure their safety and avoid any hostile conduct, acting with respect and tolerance and rejecting any type of racist or xenophobic behaviour.

    7. Guarantee the fundamental rights of workers, ensuring sufficient social protection, avoiding job insecurity, and always seeking a decent and non-discriminatory salary between men and women, as well as the training necessary for their employability.

    8. Transmit to employees the importance of knowing and preserving local cultural and natural heritage and learn to know and respect the culture of our visitors.

    10. Disseminate the content of this code among employees and clients in a way that facilitates the development of these values ​​and commitments.

    6. Avoid any type of behaviour that may damage the resources and ways of life of the local population, as well as harm the image and reputation of our tourism.

    8. Avoid and reject any type of intolerant, racist or xenophobic behaviour arising from religious, ethnic, sexual orientation, cultural or linguistic differences, whether in relations with other tourists, in relation to the staff of tourist companies or with members of the local community.
