    Located in the north of the province of Malaga, the Torcal de Antequera natural site owns one of the most complete and spectacular karst landscapes in Europe.

    This 1 kilometer route contains limestone agglomerations of more than 200 million years, caused by the purification and deposition of marine sediments over the years.

    In addition, its fauna and flora will not leave you indifferent; you can find animals such as the mountain goat, the griffon vulture and the Golden Eagle among others.

    Dolmens of Antequera

    This archaeological complex, made up of three megalithic monuments (Tholos of Romeral, Menga and Viera) is located on the outskirts of the municipality of Antequera.

    These monuments were built between the Neolithic period and the Stone Age, the oldest being the Menga Dolmen, built approximately 6000 years ago and oriented towards the Rock of lovers.

    El Viera Dolmen, oriented towards the equinoxes, is the only dolmen oriented towards an astronomical event. Its construction dates back to around 3500 BC.

    Popularly known as the Dolmen of Romeral, Tholos of RomeraIt is the most modern of the three, built around 3000 BC; it is located facing the Torcal de Antequera.

    They are megalithic constructions generally with several vertical rocks, stuck in the ground and horizontal rocks, slabs, as a roof. In the case of the Menga dolmen, the last slab of the roof weighs 180 tons.

    Type of footwear and clothing?

    We suggest comfortable sports clothing and shoes, depending on the time of year. Water and a little food are also recommended. Very important, in summer, do not bring flip-flops.

    How far will I travel on the Caminito del Rey?

    Approximately 8 km. We will descend gently, about 100 meters of elevation.

    I have vertigo, can I take the little path?

    Every day, people with vertigo enter the Caminito del Rey. I assure you that they manage to finish it, especially if you have a guide.

    Is there a shuttle bus to the Caminito del Rey?

    Yes. The Caminito del Rey shuttle buses are located next to the El Chorro train station, opposite the La Garganta tourist complex. They run every half hour. The first one leaves at 8,40:20,00 am and the last one at XNUMX:XNUMX pm, unless there are changes not reported by the bus company or Caminito del Rey.

    The price is €1,55 per person, although we believe that it will soon be raised to €2,50. You can only pay in cash and to the bus driver.
