These are megalithic constructions, generally consisting of several vertical stones driven into the ground and horizontal stones, or slabs, forming a roof. In the case of the Menga dolmen, the last roof slab weighs 180 tons.

It will depend on the wind speed and the amount of rain. The forecast is checked the day before, and if conditions are not suitable for visiting the Caminito del Rey, customers are informed.

Can I turn around and go back down the path?

The Caminito del Rey is a one-way path, from North to South. Returning along the same path is only permitted in very exceptional and emergency circumstances.

Is the King's Path dangerous?

Although it was once called the most dangerous trail in the world, today we can say that it is one of the safest, thanks to its reconstruction in 2015.

Type of footwear and clothing?

We suggest comfortable sportswear and shoes, depending on the time of year. Water and some snacks are also recommended. Very important: in summer, do not bring flip-flops.

How far will I travel on the Caminito del Rey?

Approximately 8 km. We are descending gently, about 100 meters of elevation change.

I have vertigo, can I do the little path?

Every day, people with vertigo enter the Caminito del Rey. I assure you they can finish it, especially if you go with a guide.

Is there a shuttle bus to the Caminito del Rey?

Yes. The Caminito del Rey shuttle buses are located next to the El Chorro train station, opposite the La Garganta tourist complex. They run every half hour. The first bus leaves at 8:40 am and the last at 8:00 pm, unless there are changes not announced by the bus company or Caminito del Rey.

The price is €1,55 per person, although we believe it will soon be raised to €2,50. Payment is only accepted in cash and must be made to the bus driver.

How do you travel the King's Little Path?
